Kim Kardashian explains why she left pregnant surrogate out of her Tea For Three baby shower – but reveals how they bonded separately over her baby

Kim Kardashian West has explained why she didn't invite her surrogate to her Tea For Three baby shower.

The reality TV superstar was advised by doctors not to get pregnant again and so approached a surrogate agency, reportedly splashing out $113,850 for the service, to find a woman who could carry their biological child so that Kim wouldn't have to.

The surrogate woman is said to be due before Christmas and Kim spared no expense for her cherry blossom themed baby shower over the weekend when celebrating her impending arrival with her family and friends.

She invited her sisters Khloe Kardashian , Kourtney Kardashian , Kylie Jenner , and Kendall Jenner , as well as her best pal Chrissy Teigen and the group shared pictures and videos on social media, but eagle-eyed fans noted that there was no sign of the woman who is carrying Kim's child.

Kim has now confessed the reason she didn't invite her because she has explained to her children that their sibling will be born via a surrogate.

The 37-year-old reality star – who already has daughter North, four, and son Saint, 23 months, with Kanye West – said: "I, um, I did not [invite the surrogate]. I did introduce her to my family. I introduced her to my family earlier that day.

"And, you know, I just thought, I don't know, it was like a weird decision to have to make. Of course, I would've wanted her to be there and be a part of it, but I hadn't really gone that far in explaining it to my kids yet.

"So I have to figure that out first before they really see and then if we're celebrating, you know, her, I just want to celebrate the baby. I think I have to explain it to my kids first and figure out how I'm going to explain it to them.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star suffered complications during both pregnancies with North and Saint, and Kim believes she chose the “perfect” woman to be her surrogate mother, as she has the “best relationship” with her.

Speaking during an appearance on The Real on Thursday (16 NOvember 2017), she said: "I love her. I have the best relationship with my surrogate. She's so nice. She is the perfect person to do this for my family. She's great. She's been amazing.”
