After captioning a picture on her social media with mascara running down her face: “Makeup by JM,” Stephanie then claimed Jonny had cheated on her, called him a “monster” and accused him of attacking her.
But Jonny is now keen to put his side of the story across and tells OK! magazine he’s “gutted” at how the relationship turned out.
Jonny – who strongly denies ever cheating – says: “It was a shame to have someone who I had done nothing but treat like a princess act like that towards me. Dating Steph was a very surreal relationship to me anyway. I was very much not wearing the trousers in that situation so I wouldn’t have done anything to screw it up.”
Asked if the pair’s relationship was a showmance, Jonny adds: “For me, it was 100 per cent real, but I’ve got no idea what it was for her. She used to talk about ‘when’ we broke up rather than ‘if’.”
He added: “I’ve dodged a bullet so I’m not worrying about the aftermath. She used to talk about every day life like she was making a TV show. If I did something funny she’d make me do it again on camera and she’d say: “Oh my God, that’s good content for my Instagram.’”
Since the split, Stephanie is reported to have exchanged numbers and arranged a date with TOWIE’s Pete Wicks.
But Jonny – who has been confirmed for the CBB house – doesn’t think they’re a match.
Pete’s ex is Megan McKenna – she’s one of the most gorgeous women on TV. Steph’s a good looking girl but I doubt he’d go from Megan to Steph.”
OK! reached out to Stephanie’s rep for comment, who said: “Stephanie wishes to move on from the stressful events that arose during her time with Jonny.”
